6. We believe that Jesus Christ was born as a human being. (Born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit.)

18. We believe that every person born since Adam has a sinful nature. This is called original sin.

30. We believe that repentance includes four things:

God no longer considers us guilty of our past sins.
35. We believe that God gives new spiritual life (regeneration) to the person who repents.
God makes it possible for him to live as a Christian.

37. We believe that justification, regeneration, and adoption, happen at the same time.
They happen when a person repents and receives Jesus Christ as Savior.

40. We believe that when Jesus Christ died on the cross to make atonement for our sins,
He also made it possible for us to get rid of the sinful nature.
41. We believe that when a Christian is entirely sanctified he gives all of his life to God.
He willingly follows God's plan for his life.
42. We believe that entire sanctification cleanses the Christian from the sinful nature.
It causes him to love God completely. It gives him power for a life of service.
