Tom Taylor-Senior Pastor Christ became my savior in my childhood and I experienced heart holiness as a teenager. Soon after that, God called me to full-time preaching and pastoral ministry. My academic preparation was chiefly molded by Mid-America Nazarene University (BA in Religion) and Nazarene Theological Seminary (MDiv - cum laude). I met and married the woman of my dreams, Debbie Aldrich. We are proud of our daughter Tiffany, our son Derek, and his wife Melanie. We pastored two Missouri churches (Esther-Flat River and Arnold) before beginning our ministry at Apple Valley on September 10, 1995. It is a privilege to serve the people of this church. |
Steve Cobbs-Administration/Youth Ministry (Ordained Elder) I was born and raised in Southern California and grew up in the church and received Christ as a child, but struggled throughout my teenage years. God placed a call on my heart for youth ministry, and led me to Point Loma Nazarene University, where I graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration along with a Certificate for Youth Ministry. I met my wife, Brenda, while attending PLNU, and we now have two wonderful children, Angela and Taylor. We have youth pastored at two churches prior to coming to Apple Valley in 2001. It has been a wonderful experience here working in both Administration and Youth. Thanks for allowing us to serve. |
Mario Alvarado-Hispanic Ministry (Ordained Elder)
We are so very excited that 2011 marks Pastor Mario's 10th anniversay in the leading of our awesome Hispanic Ministry! Glory to God! |
Milt Caylor - Contemporary Worship Music (Sundays 10:15 am / Band leader Hispanic Service) the son of a Music Director, I became involved in music at church at an early age. I was surrounded by encouraging people and numerous opportunities to perform in children's musicals and participate in special music during services. In high school, I began to write songs and build relationships with local musicians which led to becoming the front man of the Christian blues band "Four Shadows Fall". During that time I spent several years recording and touring the West Coast. In 2006 I was led to take a position as a Worship Leader at a local church. My wife, Laura, a gifted singer/song-writer shares my desire to help others dig deeper in giving glory to God through our lives, our marriage, and our children Harvest and Silas, which pours out in our offering of praise. |
